According to a report over at ProjectSpurs, Spurs draftee Marcus Denmon has agreed to play basketball in France after singing with Chalon. Here's a quote from Denmon:
"I am very happy to come to Chalon. This is a great opportunity for me to move from my university to the highest European level, namely the Euroleague. I know I have much development to make in order to improve to make it in the NBA and I'm convinced I made the right choice."
This appears to be a pretty good move for Denmon and the Spurs. The Spurs are stacked at guard at this point and Denmon would not see much of the floor, if at all. Hopefully, Denmon can gain some great experience in the Euroleague and come play for San Antonio at a later date and provide a nice spark much like Gary Neal has done.
We wish you well Denmon, we hardly knew ye. Share your thoughts.
