I have to begin by saying that last year's George Hill trade bewildered and, dare I say it, depressed me. I thought George Hill had, to slightly less of an extent, been a draft day steal akin to the piracy that brought us Tony and Manu. And how dare PatFO do such a thing?

A year and a spectacular season for Kawhi Leonard later, and I find myself giddy with the possibility that we could do it again. GIDDY, yeah it's a little scary.

So allow me to pick your brains. Who would you trade? What team and consequential draft number could be achieved by such a trade? And then who would you select in the 2012 draft?

Personally, unless we consider trading Tony to Michael for the number 2 pick, (the only potential tony-trade I'd--wait never mind, I don't think I'd do that one), I think our best trade asset would be Tiago. I think Milwaukee might take him at number twelve to upgrade their frontline behind (or maybe in front of) Drew Gooden and Epke Udoh (I also expect them to lose Ersan Ilyasova to free agency or trade.). I'd be Luke-warm to this deal, given that I would like to see Tiago play a third season as a Spur before reupping/casting him back into the sea.

This would be the only way I could see us trading into the lottery. Much as I like Blair and have been hopeful he'd find his niche on our team, he hasn't and I'm ready to hope that maybe Philly might take him to replace the loss of Brand to free agency with the number 15 pick. I doubt that would happen, but... I can dream, can't I? Oh well, thank you Pounding the Rock for indulging in this little fantasy.
