Hickory-High: Offensive Geometry
This is a pretty interesting write up that compares offensive efficiency across the league. The author draws out the difference between the two top offenses in the league (Spurs and Thunder) Headed into this series I think this article sheds some light on the differences we may see between the two offenses. To me this article gives a confidence boost (as if it is even needed) for the Spurs. They excel at creating more opportunities of using league wide efficient options. The Thudner seem to just be more efficient than other at less efficient options. Given the choice between the two I'd have more faith in being able to capitalize on generally efficient options than being able to continue to hit less efficient options. Defenses step up in the post-season so being able to get good high percent shots should continue to set the Spurs apart from the rest.
