LINSANITY!!!!

how he’s not an all star?

what a spin move by Lin! He used all the math he learned from Harvard.

It seems as though after Malcolm Thomas was waived by the Spurs, he did return from the Toros to the LA D-Fenders. Meanwhile, back with the Toros is Squeaky Johnson, recently waived by the Hornets. In tonight’s game against Rio Grande, the Spurs are leading 60-55 at the start of the 2nd half with 6’9" Leo Lyons leading the way with 22 points and 8 rebounds. D-League All-Star Justin Dentmon has added 11 points and Da’Sean Butler has 10.
Did Butler made the DLeague allstar?
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."

No, he only recently moved into the Toro’s starting lineup. The Toros have been deep. Dentmon and Lance Thomas (who got a call-up from the Hornets) did make the team. I would have thought that Eric Dawson might have, but it seemed when Malcolm Thomas joined the Spurs he decided to join a Turkish League team. Though after having been gone since Jan. 18th, Dawson is back with the Toros for tonight’s game.
Butler has now started 10 out of 18 games, and has been averaging 11.8 points and 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. His shooting touch was off on the majority of his first games, but he’s been shooting much better since being made a starter and his % is now up to .474 with .395 from 3 point range. So far he’s 5-7 tonight with 3-5 from 3 pt range.
The Toros just added 6’9" Julian Senesly for tonight’s game. He had previously played 5 games this season for Rio Grande, averaging 16.2 points and 7.4 rebounds. So Sensely, Lyons and Dawson are all listed at 6’9" and seem athletic PF types, while Luke Bonner is 7’1". Butler is listed as a 6’7" forward, while the Toros have two others at 6’7" as G/F’s.
LINNNNNNN, the kid is for real

They are going to be very good with Amare, but they should get rid of Carmelo.

I wonder if there’ll be a team that will trade for him.

Let’s see, they gave up Wilson Chandler, Mozgov, Gallinari, Felton, 3 draft picks and $3M to get Carmelo. Though besides Carmelo, they received A. Carter, Balkman, S. Williams and Chauncey. I’m sure they all have contributed big time for the Knicks, haven’t they?
I’m still wondering why NY gave half their team for Melo.

Because James Dolan didn’t want to wait, until ’Melo was a free-agent and sign him outright.

Wilson Chandler could still return to Denver after the China league finishes, as it seems he was a restricted free agent that Denver still has the rights to (wouldn’t mind if he became a Spur). Denver traded Felton to Portland and got Andre Miller (and indirectly Rudy Fernandez) along with Jordan Hamilton. Chauncey was waived by NY, Shelden left for NJ as a free agent, Carter to Toronto as a free agent; but at least NY had Balkman along with Carmelo.
I have a feeling once Melo comes back the Knicks will start losing again.

Well, I hope D-Rose is happy with his All-Star selections. Linsanity’s going to be voted into the starting lineup for a long, long time.

The kid can definitely ball. Making every GM that didn’t give him a shot look extremely stupid right now. Hope he keeps it up! He’s as humble as they come :D

Man, just imagine if he was backing up J. Kidd or Kevin Martin—wow, kinda glad he plays in the east haha.

Oh well, I knew the LAL awesome 1-game win streak had to end sometime.

Hey if winning two games in a row on the road were that easy even the Lakers could do it.
Both teams played hard
“Hey if winning two games in a row on the road . . .”
Sad but true. The NBA won’t allow us to win too many for basketball reasons. And unfortunately the Lakers won’t make any more moves until they know for sure that they won’t get Dwight. (Unless they could somehow pry someone like D-Will out of Jersey or someone else of that caliber.)
But hey we did beat the Celtics, in overtime, in Boston. That as good as 3 other wins to most Laker fans. And ironically, if the season ended today it looks like the Lakers would meet them Spurs in a 3 vs 6 match-up. Hopefully by the end of the season we can be as good as last season’s Grizzlies. :)
Anyway, much as I enjoy slagging on the Spurs, I’ll bow out now. Got too much work/chores to get done.
