I’m always in the 75-80 range lately. That’s my new range, I guess. It’s okay. I’m older now, I don’t just whip out my keyboard and comment all over the post. I am a selective poster, going for quality over quantity.

Watching this game I realized who Danny Green reminds me of—he’s like a modern version of Mario Elie.
Great court awareness, toughness, good shooter, sneaky athletic, decent ball handling. Hopefully he’ll hit some big shots for us in the postseason.
I would prefer Jumping Pop

refs rarely actually cost a team the game. it’s usually an easy out when they lose, rather than looking at the things the team did wrong.

they suck, I cant wait for the bench to come in and save the day
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."
—Popovich on Manu Ginobili
Move RJ to the bench. Start Neal and Kawhi.
The longest, brightest day is followed by the darkest night.
I know this is not going to happen but, start Neal or Anderson at the 2, bench Blair and play Kawhi at the 4.
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."
—Popovich on Manu Ginobili
I’m tempted to say start Bonner for spacing, since Kawhi is there for D and rebounding, but dude is already going to be getting too many minutes after the last 2 games. I don’t want to encourage such behavior.
The longest, brightest day is followed by the darkest night.
The problem with starting Bonner is then you put the spacing problem on the bench unit with Blair and Tiago.
Bonner is playing better d this season and he’s boxing out.
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."

I also agree with you on benching RJ. The guy has turned in Finley, only that Finley was a much better shooter. But RJ most of the time plays with no energy, and is only a jump shooter
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."

Kawhi at the 4? He has a huge wingspan but he would get abused in the paint
Playing Basketball is my Escape
I like Green energy off the bench.
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."

As much as I love Kawhi, Green is a 3-point threat and should give the starters ample spacing to run the offense efficiently. This might work.

Our bench continue its domination. Combined +75 tonight (Neal +26, Bonner +20).
Both teams played hard
His 2nd good game in a row. He had the team-leading +21 @Memphis with 5-9 3pt shooting.
Both teams played hard
Statistically, but I thought once he started to hit shots a few games before that, he was turning the corner. I’ve been happy with his D (relative to Bonner/Blair standards) in units with Tiago, as well.
Winter is coming
That’s true, he started the season slowly (probably missing the training camp?), and has been much better recently. These last two games were his best two games so far. And he is a good fit for Tiago’s inside game.
Both teams played hard
Unless Pop is f-ing with me, I’d expect a lot of Tiago/Bonner in tomorrow’s game. And then small ball as the other main lineup. I have a feeling TD will sit a lot or not play at all.
Winter is coming
Pop is 5king with everyone. I don’t know if he would dare to sit Tim again without a good reason though. Timmy has been pretty good recently, and he doesn’t like to sit out games.
Both teams played hard
5th game in 7 nights on the second set of back-to-backs for this week though. There’s also a game Saturday night.
Yes, it’s been a home stand, so anything goes.
Winter is coming
The team plays with more energy starting from the 2nd half in Dallas. If I am Pop, I would try to ride the momentum and not make any drastic changes, just tweak the minutes a little. But of course Pop may do something completely different.
Both teams played hard
I don’t think you can continue to play Timmy these big minutes. And Parker as well who was over 35 minutes against Houston.
Winter is coming
I would play Timmy for 20 minutes max against NO. But if the game is close … I don’t know. It should be easier to get a W tomorrow than on Saturday.
Both teams played hard
Yeah, Scola had an awful game. He usually lights us up.

Wow, look at that +/-
Felton = +41
Gerald Wallace = +38
Wesley Matthrew Jr = +37
Only Marcus Camby (+28) was under 30 in the starting lineup.
Winter is coming
Bigger question is… why are the starters playing 30+ minutes in that game?

i expect FO to make some unexpected move and bring in somebody we never thought about.
Both teams played hard
Perhaps, or…..
The goal is to lower expectations so that at least the surprise is a surprise within itself…
Winter is coming
Are we the only team in the NBA, which doesn’t have a player scoring 30 whole season?

Hey guys. I just have to say I miss you and this fun stuff here. I am working nights now.. and the way things are, I can’t get here as I would like to… Just one thing to say: Go Spurs Go!
First you forget names, then you forget faces. Next you forget to pull your zipper up and finally, you forget to pull it down.

Oldtimey! We’re missing you in the game threads.
Keep safe, wise one.

Last 10 games +/-
73 Bonner – King of the +/-
+48 Splitter – Well, he’s just beautfiul..
46 James Anderson – This suprised me, but this makes sense since he was part of the Dallas comeback and Houston one.
+44 Green – well this one seems to be indicating right
+26 Neal – he’s been picking it up recently as he gets his legs, and Pop finds other guys to cover for his D
+5 Parker – His score is hurt the most by all the groups he plays with.
===
Eeek…
-20 RJ – yep, he’s dropped off with some of those recent games where the starting 5 was poo
-24 Duncan – makes sense with some of the games where he just didn’t have it
====
Holy crap
-52 Leonard – the life of a rookie, especially in a super quick season. His lack of consistent shot hurts a bit as well.
-58 Blair – this is not good.
Winter is coming
In summary, there’s something wrong with the starting line up. Those 5 just dont play well together
"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."
—Popovich on Manu Ginobili
Battier was wrong….Bonner is the real stastical freak, he has no imbalance whatsoever in his game — there is no one way to play him that is better than another. He is equally inefficient both off the dribble and off the pass, going left and right and from any spot on the floor.

Yet, the teams don’t expose him that much, except in lineups with Blair. So is the real problem Bonner or Blair?
Winter is coming
they are both the problem. When only one of them is on the court we can hide them. When both are playing together, disaster ensues.
