Utah continuing a run into the 2nd quarter, 12-2, and they grab the lead with 6:09 left in the 2nd. Spurs get out hustled and trail the Jazz 53-44.
Jazz come out continuing their relentless up-tempo style and out performing the Spurs so far in the 3rd. But, in the typical Spurs fashion, they continue to pound the rock and bring the game to within 5 in a tight showdown. Spurs trail 73-71 after 3.
Spurs second string comes out and takes a lot of risks, leading to a few Jazz layups. Jazz outscoring the Spurs in the paint 38-28. The bench play of Tiago Splitter and Patty Mills help get the Spurs out of the deficit and grab the lead for the Spurs halfway through the quarter. A couple of turnovers allow the Jazz to come back. Tied at 96 with 6.7 to go in regulation. Mo Williams hits a tough shot at the buzzer, Spurs lose 99-96.
