4th quarter summary report: Spurs 97 Kings 86

  • Patty with a quick basket -- he has 13 points so far.
  • Sean Elliott, on Patty Mills: "He's come in here and saved us"
  • Spurs holding the Kings to a balmy 27-76 (35%) halfway through the 4th.
  • DeMarcus Cousins started trash talking Tim Duncan for no reason.
  • Karma, if you believe in it, comes back and bites Cousins in the rear: Timmy blocked a shot in Cousins face, stole the ball, and got a fast break. Few plays down, Tim dunks on Cousins.

3rd quarter summary report: Spurs 69 Kings 68

  • Starters started the 3rd, and have played without substitution to the 6:19 mark.
  • Kings are sloppy tonight themselves as their superstar DeMarcus Cousins picks up his 4th foul early in the quarter.
  • Kings go on a run, thanks to 5 Spurs turnovers. They even grab the lead for a few seconds
  • Patty Mills makes his own 5-0 run!

2nd quarter summary report: Spurs 47 Kings 39

  • Same squad that ended the quarter, started the 2nd. Patty Mills, Gary Neal, Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter, and Boris Diaw.
  • Patty Mills running the PG throughout 2/3rds of the quarter, even calling out plays such as 4-Down
  • Spurs picked up their game midway through the quarter, but fall apart late.
  • The score feels deceiving. The Spurs are up 47-39, but it feels as if they are down 20.
  • This is likely because of the 13 turnovers...
