The San Antonio Spurs take on the Utah Jazz today at the AT&T Center, 7:30 Central Time. The game will be televised on League Pass. San Antonio defeated the Harden-less Thunder on Wednesday on a SEGABABA in a real nail-biter. The Spurs were down by three with 24 seconds left when Tony Parker scored the final five points of the game to help the Spurs steal the win. On a side note, the Spurs were up by one until Russell Westbrook connected on four free throw attempts in the final two minutes of the game.

Utah, meanwhile, is coming off of a close loss to New Orleans. Utah kept themselves in the game but ultimately lost to the Hornets when they allowed New Orleans' point guard Vasquez into the paint for the final shot. The fact that the Utah Jazz struggled and ultimately lost to a team without their best player, Anthony Davis, is not reassuring to Jazz fans. Utah's front court combination of Big Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap were completely outplayed by the Hornet's starting center, Robin Lopez, and their back up power forward, Ryan Anderson.

This doesn't bode well for the Jazz who will be playing on the Spurs' home turf. San Antonio is notorious for causing pain to opposing teams. In fact, they have only allowed teams to walk out with a victory on their home court ten times in the past two seasons. Utah will also be playing SEGABABA in a THGAFONI and might be a little fatigued, although according to Kenny Smith, "It is too early in the season to be talking about fatigue." Utah will need their big men to play hard and fight in the paint in order for them to have a chance to win this game.

Meanwhile, San Antonio is still without their super star Manu Ginobili and may also witness limited minutes for Tim Duncan. On a side note, guard Patrick (Patty) Mills was given some action at the end of the 1st quarter in the Thunder game. He came in missed a shot and then threw the ball away on the very last possession of the quarter. He was never seen or heard from again.

As long as the Spurs don't totally implode and Utah doesn't hit every shot they take, the Spurs should control most of this game.

A question for Pounders and other basketball enthusiasts: What would constitute two teams playing a perfect game of basketball?

As always Tony must dominate Fisher, and NBA league pass is recommended for those who are willing to pony up the cash. Almost every Spurs game will be broadcast there, which is especially helpful for those of us who aren't in the San Antonio area. Please don't post links to illegal game feeds in the game thread. Links to illegal feeds are not permitted on SBNation, but you can probably find them out there on the internets if you're resourceful and desperate.
