All Off-Board the Reality Bus! Hiss! Hiss!

The title of this very short post is sort of a parody on Sean's awesome recent Fan Post title. Hope you don't mind, Sean! :)

I really just want to ask if any of you might want to just for the fun of it take a stab at offering any guesses as to why the Spurs have a totally unacceptable total and defensive rebound percentage so far this season, with a particular focus on the defensive rebound percentage?

Just for factual purposes to properly set up the premise of this post, the Spurs were first in the entire league last season in defensive rebound percentage. This year they have thus far dropped all the way down to tied for 19th.

I know that the sample size this year is quite small (7 games), but other than that obvious caveat are there any other factors that you can think of that may perhaps persist this season making it difficult for us to ever reclaim the number one ranking of last year?
