  • Pop brings in the "starters" about 8 minutes left in the game.

  • On the inbounds, the Spurs steal but couldn't produce. On the other end, they put Portland on the line. Not a good start.
  • A couple of more turnovers within the first few minutes maintains the status quo of suckage (TM).
  • Spurs change their ways a little, go on an 11-2 run thanks to great defense by Patty Mills and Stephen Jackson

2nd quarter summary report: Spurs 43 Blazers 52

  • Starting the second quarter, the Blazers keep Lamarcus Aldridge on the floor and he tears up the Spurs bench unit.
  • The Blazers aren't having to produce too much, because the Spurs are doing a great job of turning the ball over! They have 13 with more than 5 minutes to go in the quarter
  • Portland rookie Damian Lillard is impressive. He isn't really dominating the game, but he can score at will.
