Denver visits San Antonio tonight. Expect a solid game, at least for the first half, as each team is seeks to tinker with their strategy and rotations. The second half should be a show of who is going to make the team and who is going to be cut.
San Antonio's starting five spots are almost guranteed to go to Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Boris Diaw. The back up shooting guard and small forward are set with veterans Manu Ginobili and Stephen Jackson. The rest of the rotation is a bit more of a toss up. Patrick Mills, Corey Joseph and Gary Neal are all competing for the back up point guard position. Tiago Splitter, DeJuan Blair, Matt Bonner and a possible 4th big will all be competing for time off the bench. The bigs were going so far as to take boxing lessons from San Antonio great Jesse James Leija to possibly settle the issue. Bonner sat out of the boxing practice though, stating, "I grew up on the streets of Concord, New Hampshire. I’m quick with the fists. Quick with the one-two." Fast Hands
The Denver Nuggets are a dangerous team. They were one win away from beating the Lakers in the first round last year. They distribute the ball well and any of their starting five can lead the team in scoring for any particular game. Denver upgraded at the shooting guard by adding Iguodala. He brings a defensive mind set that has been missing in Denver for some time. Also having Gallinari in for a full training camp and season will be a boon for the Nuggets. Things are looking good up in Denver. There a few things Coach Karl would like to see the team work on. "Three pointers are going to be high priority of the offense," Nuggets coach George Karl said. "We’re going to work hard on it. Statistically, if we shoot the three and shoot free throws better, I think we’ll be No. 1 in scoring." Last season, Denver was the number one team in the NBA for scoring in the paint. If they can add a solid three ball to their interior offense, this team will be running most other teams into the ground.
Patrick Mills will not be playing this evening due to an ankle injury. It is also questioned as to whether or not future HOF Manu Ginobili will play due to a bruised foot.

Game Prediction: Spurs by 10
As always Tony must dominate Fisher, and NBA league pass is recommended for those who are willing to pony up the cash. Almost every Spurs game will be broadcast there, which is especially helpful for those of us who aren't in the San Antonio area. Please don't post links to illegal game feeds in the game thread. Links to illegal feeds are not permitted on SBNation, but you can probably find them out there on the internets if you're resourceful and desperate.
