Bad news: TJ FORD NOT CLOSE TO RETURNING

Manu Ginobili (hand) is expected back well before Ford. "Hamstrings are a tricky thing," coach Gregg Popovich said.

TJ was diagnosed with a torn left hamstring on Jan. 10th and was orignially expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Spurs should sign a backup PG, wasn’t Luther Head with the Toros?

"He was just a young skinny guy who looked like a winner. We didn’t know he was going to be as good as he is."

:(

I hope this means 8 weeks, and not 12 weeks.

this doesnt mean he couldnt be back in the predetermined 6 weeks. Its only been 3 weeks to the day, and could be another 3 weeks.

Do or do not! There is no try!

Have hope. If you had to have Manu back soon or TJ, then who would you pick? See, doesnt seem so bad now.

Well, TJ is new to the team, so it’s more important for him to get time, but Manu is important in the general sense.

to be honest, we could work without him. We need one more facilitator and that is Manu.
I think this is a perfect time to put him in charge of the second unit as a sixth man.

Agreed

But TJ is new to the team, so he needs the time more than Manu TBH.

I think we all pretty much knew it would be a long time before either made it back.

joseph needs more n.b.a playing time, t.j knows the league and being u.t alum, is as valuable coaching joseph up as he is taking his playing time

Joseph should be in Austin. He’d get all the playing time and coaching time, there, as opposed to in the NBA.

I hope TJ gets back as soon as possible. Cory needs a training camp badly

Wow I had heard about his hamstring but didn’t know it was torn, that is extremely unfortunate. He’s been an interesting player to watch and I hope it doesn’t stop Fords development when he is better.

I’m happy to see Manu is on schedule though he’s missed.
