Apparently, the Grizzlies beating the Spurs last season in the playoffs have turned the Grizzlies, in their mind, into perennial contenders with a rich history of winning.
So apparently James Anderson plays only at the end of quarters

I remember how everyone talked about how funny he was as a player, and how great he would be as an announcer, then they put him on TNT and… not so much. I still love him and his Memorial Day Miracle and his championship winning assist to Avery and his three kidneys. He can make as many terrible jokes as he likes.
ah. thanks for being clear

Starters should have to close the game tonight after bench effort in Dallas last night.

Hey people! Just in time to make the roll call. I’ve been missing a lot of games lately. Maybe even causing some of the losses. I apologize for that.
A casual diehard Spurs fan.
I know I haven’t been around much, but what is it with this crush you guys have with Anderson? He hasn’t looked remotely competent this year. If dominating the preseason were enough we’d still have Ian.

He has played well in limited minutes. His production and potential have no relation with his minutes. It’s just yet another weird permanent doghouse case.
I’m glad someone agrees with me. :)
...as we find to our astonishment that we can still function, and even thrive within the chase. - Alex Dewey
I haven’t seen any reason to give him more minutes as opposed to the other wings on the roster. Agree to disagree, I guess.
He should be taking some of Neal’s playing time. But yeah, agree to disgaree.
(",)
by day_late_friend on Jan 30, 2012 9:24 PM CST up reply actions
It’s certainly tough to come up for minutes for all of them. I’m one that thinks that Anderson has looked pretty good in all his games, and just missed on a number of shots early in the season that easily could have fallen. Neal’s been scoring more, but due to shooting a lot more. Other than last night’s game, Green and Neal have both been in a bit of a shooting slump themselves lately. Seems like Neal is down compared to last year as far as contributing in other areas like rebounding, and his shooting %’s are down as well. I expect he maybe rushed back from his operation a bit too soon.
well………..
