“BREAKING” is a little much for this kind of news. I would have gone with “EXPECTED.” I read “BREAKING” and my heart skipped. Thought it would follow with Kaman or K-Mart news. (I know you just quoted them, Tim. Not blaming you at all.)
"GINOBILI!" -- Sir Charles
Making room for Martin, Kaman, Prizbilla or Oberto???????
Maybe….

I wouldn’t complain about that, but my guess is just to get him some more PT instead of having him waste away on the bench.

i dont think this adds any more roster space than 15 allowed; just a reassignment

Within a week, the active roster is trimmed back to 12. There were 13 allowed for the start of this season rather than the normal 12. There wouldn’t have been much point in keeping him with the team while not being able to suit up.
Looking again and it seems that the new rule might say that 13 players can suit up after Feb. 6th, but only 12 used in the game. I take it that any of the 13 at the start of the game could be used during the game up until the 12th man enters the game. That way it could be that if one of your bigs were hurt during the game, you might use Malcolm and then make Joseph ineligible to enter the game.
I wish we gave him alittle more time. I would have liked to see him play in something other then garbage time next to Tiago for a few minutes.
Do or do not! There is no try!

The Toros play Rio Grande Vipers today (Tuesday) at 11am Spurs time. If you go to their website you can watch the games on Futurecast. Thomas might find that he has to compete with Bonner to get playing time. The Toros team is leading the dleague with a number of players doing well including Justin Dentmon, Lance Thomas, Leon Lyons, Terrance Woodbury and Da’Sean Butler. All five of those are averaging in double figure scoring; with a different set of stars each game.
And the vultures are circling over our Toros.

After posting I forgot about the game being so early. Looks like turnovers by the Toros and 60.9% 3 point shooting by Rio Grande (14-23) were the main reason for the Toros loss. Malcolm looks as if he had a good game playing just less than 30 minutes off the bench with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Lance Thomas led the Toros scoring with 22 while Butler scored 20 with 6 rebounds.
I watched the first half. Lance Thomas and Lyons looked better than Malcolm but it is to be expected since Malcolm just re-joined the team. Ben Uzoh had a good half. I don’t get why a NBA team hasn’t called him up yet. Butler’s game seemed really similar to Anderson’s: mediocre athleticism and not aggressive enough going to the rim. It was just one half, though, so take everything with a pound of salt.
