Tim was in fine form last night and looked like the Tim of old. Tony was right there with him and 2 of the Big 3 took care of business.

It was the Tim and Tony Show. The Hornets CPMs were better spread out, but the Spurs had the two best players by far.
BTW Joe, I don’t comment on everyone of these, but I do check them out. Great job.

Thanks Edg5 – appreciate it

It appears that the numbers reveal Pop’s openess to rotate players if production is not present. ( Like Blair and Leonard). (IMO)This lack of stubornness on Pop’s part is new to me. Also Joe, isn’t .62 the highest team average so far except .64 PHO. The highest was the 1st in MIA at .69. I guess what I am asking is…Do you think who’s playing with whom makes a difference? One last also..Tony’s assists are HUGE.
IC – totally agree about who is playing with whom…not sure how I could apply that but it sounds really interesting…and I am sure you are right about it. If RJ is playing with Tony or Tim, he tends to defer but if he is out there with TJ or Joseph running the show, I imagine he will get more touches, so in turn, his cpm should increase. Same with Tiago, we saw Tiago play very well the past few games, including this one, and although his cpm has stayed high with Tim in the NO game, I do not think he was getting as many touches with Tim in the game, but I could be wrong.
Of course – if his #s are staying the same with Tim playing, then it kind of throws a wrench into who is playing with whom…but this is all of the top of my head right before bed, so don’t know until we look at the #s
Yes, .64 was with PHO, and I believe it was the highest so far this season

How does the 4th quarter look? I feel that and the 1st quarter are the keys since Spurs had to come back from their biggest deficit there. And 4th was where they pulled away/kept NO at bay.
Winter is coming
you’re right in that we really need to see the quarter broken down to get a good view but sometimes i am so pressed for time to get this up the day after that i skip the quarters…too bad really though because it paints a more complete picture of the game

we got killed on the boards and in blocks but the cpm is the same at .62, the key? Super efficient shooting by the Spurs. A missed shot gives on average a 62% chance of the opposing team scoring. the correlation between .62 of last night’s game and the 62% is happenstance
