Tiago Splitter had the best game of his Spur career last night. He was amazing and represented exactly what Spurs fans had in mind when it was known that he was coming state side. Dreams of a new Twin Tower Era dances in front of my eyes but quickly dissipates with the knowing that the dread DeJuan Blair and Matt Bonner combo would be off the bench. That is ugly enough to squash any hope of a Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter starting duo.
Last night was a fun game to watch as a fan of basketball. Unfortunately the Spurs lost last night but the Silver and Black lining is that we were able to witness the continued rising of Tiago "El Fenix" Splitter (Phoenix in Portuguese). The mythical creature who rises from its own ashes to shine brightly in the sky as a second Sun. Tiago may be the Phoenix to the Spurs season. He was last night, although the battle was lost, the war is hardly over.
