Per SpursNation:
Jeff McDonald reports Tim Duncan will sit out tonight’s road game against the Rockets – the second night in a back-to-back for the Spurs. Matt Bonner will start in Duncan’s place. This is the first time this season Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has rested Duncan for a whole game.

I understand why he’s not starting Splitter- that would leave us no bigs off the bench. But I’d much rather see us start Dejuan at the 5 and play smaller for a bit, because neither Dalembert nor Scola can handle Blair or a SF posing as a PF.
Will argue against trading #45 until I am blue in the face and your eyes and ears are bleeding.
The problem with Blair-Bonner combo is the defense and rebounding. And the rebounding has been horrible in the last 2 games.

I hope Pop gives Thomas some minutes to see what he can do

Splitter should rack some serious minutes. I don’t think the rockets can handle him. Unless he takes an arrow to the knee.

“Splots” was a typo of “Splits,” and the ladies of PtR added the prefix.

Maybe it’s that pop knows no one will play defense at the beginning, so there’s no point in waiting to get Bonner out there.
