Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray. Taeniura lymma
Because of its beauty and size, the bluespotted ribbontail ray is popular with private aquarists despite being poorly suited to captivity. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has listed this species as Near Threatened, as it faces widespread habitat degradation and intensive fishing pressure throughout its range.
At night, small groups assemble and swim onto shallow sandy flats with the rising tide to feed. Unlike many other stingrays, this species seldom buries itself in sand.13 The bluespotted ribbontail ray excavates sand pits in search of molluscs, polychaete worms, shrimps, crabs, and small benthic bony fishes; when prey is located, it is trapped by the body of the ray and maneuvered into the mouth with the disc. Other fishes, such as goatfish, frequently follow foraging rays, seeking food missed by the ray.1014
While timid and innocuous towards humans, the bluespotted ribbontail ray is capable of inflicting an excruciating wound with its venomous tail spines.13

Man I would love to see a Splitter,Duncan,Leonard frontcourt as our starters but then we would be left with bonner and bliar as our only two bigs coming off the bench

you and me both. I think defensively they would be way better. I truly think we should try and trade Blair for a better defender. I mean Blair is a really solid offensive player and he has gotten better but he gets killed on defense when going against any good to great post player

I didn’t think Rubio would be as good as he has been so far. He is really playing great out there in Minnesota. If they can get a real 2 or 3 they are going to be really solid in the very near future

Blair….maybe. But he’ll always have some limitations due to lack of size.
Bonner- I think he is what he is. He’s been around long enough to know what he’s doing. I think he gives effort, but just lacks the athleticism to defend the better inside bigs effectively.

We can’t always get the best of both worlds… these guys also contribute something on the table. For as long as their being on our team has more pluses than minuses, then I think we’ll be fine. Tiago and Kawhi will compensate for these guys’ defensive shortcomings.
