haha sorry… I meant Tony had a great game, despite the doom-and-gloom diagnosis by some observers the previous game. will have to see if he can keep it up though.

I only caught overtime (NBA companion) and I was surprised to see a lineup of Timmy, Tiago, Tony, Kawhi and RJ. Did we play this big lineup a lot? Was Pop experimenting or was this just an adjustment to Lowry at SF for the Rockets?
I like it that Kawhi is going to see more time at the 3. It means the five on the floor are going to be a bit bigger overall.

Tony Parker lay up that touched the glass and then was hit by one of the rockets players, the other basket interference while the ball was above the cylinder from a Leonard shot near the rim, and I still don’t see how they believed Green had possession of the ball near our basket while their shot clock was winding down. That’s just off the top of my head. But, you can’t blame the rockets fans, most fans blame the refs, it’s just the nature of basketball unfortunately.

Did you see Pop try to kill me by taking Green out for Anderson? Thankfully Anderson continued to suck and he relied on Green down the stretch.
"GINOBILI!" -- Sir Charles
Pop is nothing if not hard headed. A game last year comes to mind, Neal was red hot. The Spurs needed a 3 pointer to win the game against Porland. Ginobili was barely coming back from injury and was cold. What does he do? He subs the red hot Neal for Gino, Gino misses the shot, Spurs lose.

Pop loves challenges.
In his defense, I think it’s in his best interest to try to get Anderson back to playing well though. Anderson has shown it in the past.
Winter is coming
I havent seen him play much, but I have yet to be impressed with any aspect of Andersons game, except when he occasionally gets hot from three point land. I certainly hope he is capable of playing as well as you say, at least on a semi-consistent basis.
A man gets the eye of a Tiger, but a Tiger gets the eye of a Manu.
I’ve seen enough of Anderson to see it. It’s just gotten messier without Manu and now Ford. I think for JA, it’s a confidence thing since he looked good even though he didn’t hit his shot earlier in the season. I think he misses Manu a lot.
Green is pretty young too but has more experience. And Leonard is a defense first type of player. He’s also bigger so that gives him advantages that are easy to utilize.
RJ killing it is sort of throwing a wrench in everything. I don’t think they should amnesty him any longer. I know he and Kawhi spent a lot of the summer together. The competition appears to be driving him among other factors.
Winter is coming
JA looked good last year before his injury, I’ll give you that. But this year he has looked awful. He doesn’t look like a basketball player. Did you see that fast break last night? It would be best described as uncoordinated. He looks uncomfortable and slow every time he dribbles. That’s a bad sign. There is nothing fluid about his game right now. I think we should throw him to the D-League so he can get 30+ minutes a game and hopefully figure it out.

Orlando didn’t deserve that win at the end, but I’m glad they beat Portland.
I'm not as good as I once was...and that's just the cold, hard truth.
I can’t believe we won that game. Poor Tim was so done by overtime. Missing freethrows, layups, wide open jumpers. That last jumper that grazed the front of the rim said it all. No legs.
"GINOBILI!" -- Sir Charles
But he made that key basket right after. He had no legs, but he still was key in that win. I’ll take it. RJ’s basket, thankfully gave them that extra push and they never looked back, except Lowry made it tough.
Winter is coming
I hope no Rockets fans see this… Tim walked on that play. He drove the lane, got stuck, and walked. Those legs were dead. He has heart. We all know that. Chris Webber would have passed that ball, gotten it back, passed it, gotten it back, passed it, shot clock violation.
"GINOBILI!" -- Sir Charles
I’m fine if they do. That out of bounce (where the shot clock should have run out before the game clock) play near the end of the 4th quarter and goal tending are two things that Houston got away with. So it balanced itself out.
Winter is coming
Yep. Good call. I was not sure how I’d feel about that. But if Kawhi is going to play 35+ minutes, then it really doesn’ t matter if he starts or comes off the bench. Even with Anderson struggling at the moment (I think he’ll come back strong), they are still strongest at the wings. Both RJ and Leonard is nice.
I also liked Pop’s big small ball in the 4th: TD/TP/Green/RJ/KL (Green was later taken out for Splits)

Some numbers…
6 – Rebounds for Kawhi Leonard in the fourth quarter and overtime. He grabbed four in overtime.
11 — Consecutive possessions that Houston scored during San Antonio’s defensive struggles late in the first quarter.
45:18 – Parker’s playing time — most in a game since he played 47:44 on Dec. 27, 2008.
65.0 — Houston’s shooting percentage in the first quarter.
