AG's Contributing Winners and Losers Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs

Here we go again.

Spurs 0.45 Jazz 0.33
Ginobili 0.99 Kanter 0.69
Blair 0.64 Jefferson 0.57
Leonard 0.58 Howard 0.56
Parker 0.51 Millsap 0.47
Splitter 0.45 Harris 0.33
Duncan 0.45 Favors 0.30
Bonner 0.42 Miles 0.23
Anderson 0.28 Watson 0.11
Jefferson 0.10 Hayward 0.04
Ford 0.05 Bell -0.08

Manu and Blair are both leading the team again. Leonard is coming along nicely, as is Splitter. On the Jazz side, they had some good looking contributors, namely Kantor, Jefferson and Howard. It drops off a bit after that. The Spurs looked good, although Anderson, RJ and Ford were mostly ineffectual.

Defensive Ratings: Remember, lower the better defense

Here are the averages for the season so far:

Spurs are still being led by Manu and Blair with Parker and Leonard next. RJ 3.0 has fallen off a bit and so has Tim. Hopefully we will see a resurgence by both of them. Splitter is coming along nicely and Bonner is still the low(est) man on the totem pole.

Basically the Front Court has been playing defense at a steady clip. The only loss, to Houston, resulted from the back court defense playing poorly. Those who have been paying attention to the Spurs offense since last year will have noted that the offense is ran primarily through the back court. It may surprise many of us to know that the defense also hinges on how well the back court plays.
