BR: Worst Trades
They have the Spurs trade for Jefferson as the worst trade the Spurs ever made. This is extremely short sided, in my opinion. That trade isn't that bad, considering what the three players we traded for RJ have done. On top of that the author completely over looks the Rodman for Purdue trade. Which, while done because of personality conflicts, was a really bad deal on the court. I'd even venture to say that the Rodman for Elliot trade was worse than the Jefferson deal.

Apparently, the author never heard of Luis Scola.
Time to build a new dynasty from the ashes of the old one.
I think these “worst” trades are sorta in the eye of the beholder. If you a Rockets fan, you certainly dont see the Scola trade as a “worst”.

Jefferson thought the Jefferson trade was great too.

im not sure if this makes sense 9it does in my head) but i would call scola a miss. i know he was traded and a lot of fans (myself included didn’t like it at the time) but he was traded mainly for money reasons and clearly the team didn’t think he would be that good or they would have kept him and signed him.
pop laments this frequently
if you put it down as a trade then this is the worse trade…and i completely agree the Jefferson trade wasn’t that bad and if thats the worst thing this fo has done well it makes sense everyone praises them
