Howdy Pounders!!!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time no talky, huh? My apologies. Much has transpired since my last fanpost, both in my life and the professional world of hoops which we all love. Before the jump, allow me to just say a big THANK YOU to you all for your support during my absence. It meant the world to me, and I don't take that for granted at all. I feel blessed to be part of the best sports blog on the planet!

Let me start off by saying I can't believe I live in a world where the dallas mavericks are NBA champions. I know we Spurs fans give them a lot of crap (most of which they deserve hehe), but sincerely, congratulations to them. It was hard for me going from my Spurs being on top of the NBA world before my Basic Training, to seeing them flame out in the first round, but at least a Texas team took Larry home (especially since the Heat, in my opinion, represented everything that's wrong with professional sports). And truth be told, I'm still pissed that George Hill is no longer a Spur. All in all, though, it's still great to be a fan of this franchise, and I'm looking forward to the next time basketball rolls around (lockout pending, of course).

Here's what's up with yours truly right now. Currently assigned to Altus Air Force Base in a tiny town in southwestern Oklahoma, working in a supply squadron. We're stuck in the middle of the same heatwave SA is in (going on 50 consecutive days of 100+ degree temperatures right now), so for now, just trying not to melt in the heat lol. But overall, we're doing fine. That's right, I said WE--our very own HeartRunn3r is now officially Mrs. AirForceAggie2010 lol. Got married almost a month ago at the base of the Tower of Americas in SA and moved together to OK. Thanks so much for receiving her so warmly, PtR! She sent me so much content from the site, including some hilarious game threads, while I was at basic, and she was really impressed by the fervor of the PtR community. Actually wants me to buy her a SA jersey soon, so I think we'll make a true Spurs fan out of her yet lol.

Again, thanks so much for all the kind words and support--looking forward to kicking it with y'all in the future while we wait for basketball to start back up. GSG and Gig 'em!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve never used sunscreen in my life (being black does have a few perks lol), but Mrs. AFA is definitely buying up the high-SPF sunscreen like it’s going out of style lol.
