Random question, if anybody knows the answer: Is it possible for owners to sell/new owners to buy a team during the lockout? I’m looking at you, Hornets.
Time to build a new dynasty from the ashes of the old one.

It’s hilarious how NBA.com is only using pictures of retired players. Every team site is going for the “vintage” appeal. Hilarious.

Haha, I have to check that out.

To start…

And I’ll keep posting them till the Lockout ends! That’ll show Stern!

Only one thing can solve this crisis: World Peace
If you're watching a blowout, you can pass the time by counting the double teapots.
Samurai Champloo > Macross
If the impasse persists deep into the summer and fall, as expected, Bonner said Spurs players have discussed plans to hold player-run workouts in town.
I wonder if this is true. Wouldn’t it be funny to see Timmy yelling at young guys for doing the wrong things?

Well, this sucks. I had just gotten over my downer from the end of the season, and now I have gotten really excited about the new additions and other potential changes, and I am anxious to see the team in action. Looks like I may be waiting quite a long time for that.

Anyone else think Kristen Wiig is hilarious? I recently promoted to investigator. I love me some Sofia Vergara. Getting plenty of rain in South Texas, yard is looking great. I went to El Paso last week, got flashback of Iraq. Colin Cowherd has the best radio show. I’m sick of on-line school. The Chive is as good as advertised. My cat got hit by car, lived and now can’t shut her mouth. MY dog is an escape artist. I own a Ram Truck and it kicks ass. I’m sick of ESPN. I get on Youtube and lose track of time. Spurs need a big man. Dice needs to retire. My wife is pissed at me, for who knows what! My Post 9/11 GI Bill just kicked in. I hate Facebook. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is awesome. I listen to Julieta Venegas. God Bless America!

Thank you for your service, man. As a civilian I am very grateful. Your cat is just trying to tell you how grateful she is…to be alive. And as husbands…we will NEVER know why our wives are mad at us. I just apologize to her 1st thing every day…just to get it out of the way. I figure, heck, I’m going to be doing it anyway.

C’mon, £ers. Most NBA players have known a lockout was coming and the smarter ones prepared themselves for the loooooong vacation. Y’mean to tell me that no one here did either?
There isn’t going to be a DTOUR thread for every day of the lockout is there?
Please do! I start my 2 weeks vacation today. I want Spurs related topics.
Off-topic:
How hot is in SA? We are melting here in Hermosillo at 49°C (120°F).
A casual diehard Spurs fan.
It’s 100°F most days, give or take a couple degrees. I guess we have it good, jeez.

Any way I could watch replays for games from last season?

Have the rest of you noticed the change in the motto at the top of our page?

Anybody see the article over on Project Spurs that James Gist tested positive for drugs? I know a lot of people on PTR liked Gist and wanted him to catch on with the Spurs, but that doesn’t quite look like it’s going to happen it seems.
He tested positive for marijuana just to clarify. Not anything hard or performance enhancing. Its always important to clarify when an athlete tests positive what they tested positive for. Pot may be frowned upon, but its not performance enhancing, so its not career threatening. I don’t know what the rules are in the Turkish league he’s playing in, but I believe even in the NBA a player can test positive for marijuana once so long as they don’t test positive a second time (MLB has this rule for steroids, I believe). The point is, James is the one who got caught, or at least publicly so, he’s not the only basketball player doing it. If pot excludes one from being a good basketball player, tell that to ’Sheed.
I’ll even give James the benefit of the doubt; playing in Turkey it seems quite reasonable that he could have consumed it legally perhaps while in another European country, like the Netherlands. I just want to do my part to prevent people from labeling him with the stigma of having a drug problem and writing him off from one summer drug test.
by RamblingSpur on Jul 3, 2011 11:50 PM CDT up reply actions
most european leagues do not allow consumption of any drugs, even light ones
so, in most european leagues James would be disqualified. Ofcourse the sentence may vary from a game up to 3 to 6 months.

Hopefully..
this lockout will give our GM’s a chance to figure that we must must must shop RJ to free up space. We could bring in a decent replacement and would end up with an edge going forward into this shortened season. Losing Hill was a huge blow, and if we dealt Parker we would’ve automatically been entered into this free agent lottery; but since we didn’t it’s time for more moves from the FO. We can win one more at least but it’ll take one or two more cruical moves. Sorry just a small post-season rant.
Amnesty Clause
Hopefully it kicks in and they can just drop RJ’s butt.
"If you run, you'll just go to jail tired!" TJ73
The Spurs would still have to pay his salary per his contract, something like 3 years and $24M. I don’t think he’s so bad that they’d pay him that much to not play for them while playing for someone else.
What would a summer DTOUR thread be like if I didn’t get to use one of my favorite words: haboob.

OK, so today’s was a bit more substantial.
