more trade and free agent prospects
I like DeAndre Jordan coming over from the Clppers but also Thabeet coming over from the Rockets. They both have size. I also like Shannon Brown from the Lakers. I think we need to continue to Splitter and Anderson can get some more work and be a great addition. I like Hill at point guard coming in for Parker. He is not a true pt. but has time to work on it this offseason. We can continue to develop Quinn or try to get Aaron Brooks from the Rockets. The team needs to develop the players it has. Blair needs to do what Bowen did and develop a shot. He can work on a shot inside of 10 ft.. As for the big three, take some Glucosamine and Congroitin and rest those joints. Maybe do some Yoga, it will help for next season.

Like Josh said, Brooks is no longer with the Rockets. He’s in Phoenix now.
Also, I don’t think the Clippers are willing to let Jordan walk. He is a restricted free agent as is Brooks. Shannon Brown has a player option that he’ll likely exercise and Thabeet is still on his rookie contract. So all those guys would be hard to get as free agents. Here is a list of free agents sorted by position courtesy of Shamsports. It includes the contractual situation too (restricted, unrestricted, player option, etc.)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hey, this is the time for the Random Name Throwing Fest at PtR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let’s do it! I want to get Dwayne Wade from Chicago for Parker and KD from Portland for RJ. I also like Dwight Howard from Atlanta, he has size and can defend. He would be a nice complement to Timmeh. Think of starting 5 of Wade-Manu-Durant-Tim-Howard. I love our bench, we should continue developing it. With minor tweaks to the starting lineup as I suggested, rested Manu and Tim and improved bench, we should be able to deal with Mighty Memphis next year. The future is bright as long as I take my pills and wear my pink glasses.

Come on now. He didn’t proposed stupid trades. He didn’t do the research, that’s true, but this is not the same as some of the stupid things that we endure last off season with all the “trade Parker for a bag of peanuts” crap. The guy joined recently and may not know that this kind of thing shouldn’t be a fanpost. Cut him some slack.

Anytime someone suggests signing Thabeet, they will be forever associated with those other posters you mentioned. Thabeet made Kwame Brown look good.
Not to mention “developing” Quinn.

Yeah ok. I guess you’re right. But while I enjoy Kondor’s sarcasm as much as the next guy, maybe it would be better to tell him “Quinn is 28, Thabeet is tall but sucks, and those aren’t free agents. Also, there are other post about trades and free agents that you could post your opinion on instead of making a fanpost.” To me, the kid didn’t come off as arrogant or anything. Just uninformed.
Anyways, I’ll shut up now. I think by commenting on it I’m making it a bigger deal than it is.

I totally understand what you’re saying, but to me, we’re a sarcastic bunch, and he’s going to be exposed to it sooner or later. Kondor wasn’t being malicious IMO.
His previous thread did a pretty good job of sparking discussion, and if he had put half the effort into this one as he did the previous one, he’d have been fine.

Yeah, you’re right. I Know that Kondor wasn’t being malicious or anything. I probably made it up to be more than it was. This community is a lot more welcoming than most and friendly sarcasm is not rare. I probably shouldn’t have said anything. The guy can defend himself, if he even thinks he’s being attacked.

I do admire you’re welcoming attitude, though :)

Lol you used to do the same thing, saying we need to trade for Durrant.
Tiago Splitter > Matt Bonner
I think we need to continue to Splitter and Anderson can get some more work and be a great addition.
I think we need to continue Splitter too so a great addition Anderson

Parker and Bonner for Smith and Hinrich.
OR
Parker and Bonner for Randolph and RUUUUUBIO!!!!!!!!!!
"Are you gunna bite all day little doggie, or are you gunna bite?"
1st deal – decent, but Spurs need to find a new way to run their offense then since a lot of it depends on penetrate and kick along with pick and roll. Kirk brings a lot of positives, but speed is not his best attributes.
2nd deal – unless that’s Zach Randolph, no way…

I seriously don’t know anything about trades, but
If we could move Blair to the Celtics for Jeff Green — I would be stoked. That guy is a winner and “over himself” I loved him at Georgetown.
He can play as a big 3 or a small ball 4. He’s underused in Boston, and like Shane Battier just seems like the kind of player that should be a Spur.
Green’s a restricted free agent, so the most likely way for the Spurs to acquire him would be with a sign and trade deal. The majority of the Celtics’ roster is not under contract for next year, but I’d think Green would be someone they’d most like to keep. To trade him after his new contract would require a lot more than Blair as there will likely be at least a $4M difference.
