After 16 seasons, Antonio McDyess plays his final NBA game, says, "I'm pretty definite about that." One of the classiest NBA players ever.

Thanks for leaving it all on the floor Dyess. You will be missed.

I miss him already. Sorry this team couldn’t get you that ring.

Hy heart hurts, but it's time to rebuild.

Maybe we could send him Findogs, Fin sure went out like a punk.

Man this sucks. So does this mean more time for Splitter or will Richards be in the picture now?

by cartoonspurs on Apr 30, 2011 1:02 AM CDT reply actions

you would think splitter but reality is its just way to early to tell.

A young 7 footer we drafted last year from England. Here is a link to his draft express page. You should look up some of his youtube videos.

I don’t buy it. Come November when he’s presented with the opportunity for a shortened season and one more shake at a ring he may end up coming back for the last year of our window, especially if he’s moved behind Tiago

by RamblingSpur on Apr 30, 2011 2:49 AM CDT reply actions

I sure hope so. It was so sad to see the look on his face in the closing seconds of the game.

This is so sad, maybe the FO or maybe even us fans can get him a ring, not a championship one but maybe something that can show our gratitude for everything that he given us.

May Red Pandas always walk by your side, Dice. In a world where Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen have rings but you do not, there’s obviously no fairness. But at the end of the day you’ll have something most do not, and that’s class.

I’m going to miss him. Great guy, great player, robbed of further greatness because of those damn knees. He’ll stay with me. (Not literally.)

I re-watched some video of him on youtube a couple months ago. My gosh..

It’s a shame to lose a good player like this dude and even more sad we couldn’t get him his ring before retiring. You will be missed Dyess

Dice, you came into the League blessed with great athleticism. When that was taken from you, you adapted your game when many others haven’t (and couldn’t), and for that, I will forever respect you. Keep smiling!

I hope he doesn’t go, I loved everything about him. His laugh made me smile even if the joke wasn’t funny.

I’m hoping once he’s into the later part of the summer he changes his mind for one more year.

Someone steal Bonner’s 2007 ring and give it to McDyess.

So long Dyess. I feel horrible that the Spurs couldn’t get you a ring. You should have joined the team 10 years earlier…

Thank you Dyess for your tremendous work ethic and professionalism. You are the epitome of the greatest attributes of the Spurs franchise.

Thanks Dice for all your hard work, perseverance, discipline, and class. You were always a prototypical “Spur” and were a tremendous asset to this franchise, I can’t help but be disappointed that we didn’t have you for more of your career. Sorry we couldn’t get you a ring; if there was one veteran in the league who truly deserved one it’s you. Your attitude and hard-working spirit will be missed, good luck to you from here on.

And reconsider retirement, we could still use you next year!!
