I disagree with George in here. What other fans hate is not the Spurs, but their losing methodologies. Come on man! You can’t have constant love if you’ve been messy on the basketball court.

I don’t think I even understand what he’s trying to say. Wouldn’t you tend to lose “fake fans” when you’re playing horribly? I would think that it helps to clear out the clingers and bandwagoners when you’re playing so disappointingly.

In addition, I’m kindof disappointed that George seems to care so much. I always thought of the Spurs as a team so above the fray, so professional and undistracted, so focused solely on their goals. This leads me to want to say, “George, shut up and focus on the court and being ready for playoffs. If the arena is empty or fans’ contribution is light when you win it all, they still give out the same rings.”
