04.28.11 NBA TV/TNT Playoff Loser Thread
Good evening PTR. Our Spurs weren't the losers last night, that's for sure. That was game of the year, without question! Tonight we've got three games, around the league, and all could be potential series close outs. Let's get to the action.
Starting things out, on NBA-TV, the Atlanta Hawks look to pull off an upset over Dwight Howard's Orlando Magic on their home floor tonight. After taking a 3 - 1 lead on Sunday, they got pounded Tuesday. The Hawks currently lead 3 - 2. Can the Magic force a 7th game?

Simultaneously, over on TNT, our Southwest Division rival New Orleans, has been hanging with, and in some cases beating the Lakers this entire series. The Lakers currently lead 3 - 2. Can the Hornets force a 7th game?

Immediately following LA and the Nooch, also on TNT, the Portland Trailblazers host the Dallas Mavericks, in what's been a pretty up and down series. The Mavs currently have a 3 - 2 lead. Can Portland force Game 7?

Vote!

It’s funny, my friend is actually moving on saturday from astoria queens to the financial district in manhattan. And another friend and I, although we weren’t asked to help, will go and give him a hand anyways with expectations of him owing us a big one further in the future, as well as at least a 30 pack and a couple of bowls on saturday afternoon. So… while you’re moving your shit all by yourself, praying for help to fall on your laps that probably will not, just now that somewhere out there, a guy more physically capable than you will be provided with 4 extra hands out of nowhere. C’est la vie.

Funny you should say that.
I would say Thunder, but Clay Bennett’s fuck you to Seattle ruined that for me. I would say Grizz, but I have to much disdain for them because of current events. But I really like the Bulls. They remind me of the way the Spurs used to play.
Do not anger the Timmeh, but free Tiago!
I think I said it before here, that the Bulls would be the ones to beat in the East. If I lose the Spurs though, I have to go back to my old allegiance, the Celts. I just have too much history with them to ignore – though the current ‘butthead factor’ on that team is greater than it has ever been. I do root for underdogs though. The Bulls are probably going to beat them, and they qualify as underdogs at this point.

I want the Blazers for purely selfish reasons. The Mavs need backcourt scoring if they want to have a chance.
Do not anger the Timmeh, but free Tiago!
If the Blazers extend it to a 7 games series though, that will ruin that chances of another series being extended to 7 games. And considering how no series has gone to 7 yet, it might help us more. Just thinking of the number right now. Kinda like how the Spurs were the only team to survive an elimination game yesterday, 1/3.
