Gregg Popovich Speaks Truth To All-Star Rookies
Kevin Love has blogged about his All-Star Weekend, and as is usually the case when Love blogs on GQ, it's well worth a read. The best anecdote is that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, in a pre-game meeting, warned All-Star rookies Love, Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook wouldn't be getting many minutes in the big showcase.
Spurs coach Greg Popovich led the meeting, and he was pretty funny. He said, "Guys, we're gonna go out and have fun. We're not really gonna run any sets. We're gonna get up and down. And all of you are gonna play a lot and get good minutes-except for probably Russell, Blake and Kevin. You guys are all f--ked."
Tiago Splitter is reading this and nodding his head furiously.

Pop is awesome. I love how he holds back and speaks around things, rather than being straightforward and blunt.
