Does this spell doom for SA and LAL?

Meh. I’ll be interested to see how he preforms for the Mavs. They are very deep at the 3 spot and he isn’t a great offensive player.
but it makes them a little deeper

Deeper is only useful if their potential is realized.

I kind of agree with something Barkley said last night: “I’m worried about Corey Brewer.” His point was, why would the Knicks, a team that needs players and has a HC who thinks he can make any player be good offensively, give up on Brewer?
Certainly, he may develop into something more than he’s been but it won’t be this season, regardless who he signed with. If he’s on the floor, that means a bigger threat won’t be. Fine by me.
- Thank you SF Giants for an incredible 2010 season and painting the City orange & black!
- I vow to never again mention "playoffs" and "49ers" together until we have a "quarterback."

whats the deal with dallas with the small forward position
>Nowizki, marion, peja, butler
In the past: jamison, walker,
Dallas actually dont have a true Power Forward or a good shooting
The shooting guard is Terry
Its like the opposite of spurs because spurs have a lot of shooting guards that can play PG and shooting 3pts
Dallas sometimes does it right with the big 3’s/tweener guys. It’s a tough position to guard. Howard/Jamison have both given the Spurs massive problems.
Having’ said that, Brewer doesn’t have that offensive firepower. Nor does Peja since he’s just a shooter.
Butler has some of that, but he is more manageable than Howard (when he played good) and Jamsion were.

It helps them defensively, but his offense is not consistent. He helps the Spurs focus more of their D on Dirk and other guys when he’s in. He could potentially cause problems for the Spurs when they play D. He definitely would have the potential to fit in to their zone D plan that they employ fairly well.
However, who do you keep out and replace him with. for a long run. Depth potential is only as good as it is realized.
Spurs are an example of that this year. They have a lot of depth, but when push comes to shove, Tiago, Anderson, Novak all won’t play in critical minutes. None have proven enough due to injury or just abilities.
