According to eurohopes.com, a portal that keeps track of European prospects, with info picked up from Spanish journalist Quique Villalobos, the San Antonio Spurs were one of the five NBA teams that sent a scout to Spain to evaluate Lucas Nogueira. Nogueira, an 18 year-old Brazilian who already stands at 7-feet tall, raised eyebrows in the FIBA of Americas U18 last year in San Antonio, when Brazil pushed a Team USA squad built around Kyrie Irving, Harisson Barnes, Austin Rivers and Quincy Miller in the championship game and came within a three pointer to actually beat them. Nogueira currently plays for Asefa Estudiantes' B squad, in Spain's fourth division. Seen as a possible number one overall pick in future drafts, Nogueira has suddenly flashed on Draft Express' board, which indicates he could declare as soon as this year. Teams sending people to see him reinforces this theory.
