Good evening PTR! The All Star Break is over. The West won again. Our Spurs sit at a semi-respectable 46-10, and we are number 2 in the new Power Rakings. In other news that nobody cares about, Carmelo Anthony has been traded to one of the two places we all knew he was going to end up the whole time. Finally. It's over. The rest of the season can now begin.
[In my rant section of the thread tonight...] Thank goodness it wasn't to LA, that's all I have to say. I know those were only rumors, and in reality really had little chance of being true. But I'm glad they weren't true, nonetheless. I don't care about whatever "chemistry" problems, "locker room" issues, or "possessions on offense" issues Melo on LA would create. The Lakers are tough as hell to beat on the rare occasions that Kobe actually has a bad game. Odds are slim to none that both Kobe, Melo, Pau, Lamar,
Fish, and Bynum would all be off. (Bynum would've been delt for sure.) Not to mention whomever from the bench decides to hit 5 threes that night.
Back to reality, we've got 9 games from around the league tonight. Currently in progress, Washington hosts Indiana, Charlotte hosts Toronto, Detroit hosts Houston, and Miami hosts Sacremento. In scrub game of the night, Milwaukee hosts Minnesota. KD and the Thunder host Slam Dunk Champ Blake Griffin and the Clips. The Melo-less Nuggets host the Grizz, Golden State hosts Boston, and in the NBA Fan Night Game of the week, the Lakers host the Atlanta Hawks. Discuss whatever you like!
