I cannot argue against Manu, but in general I think the Spurs don’t have any all-stars this season. They would be the only team in history winning 40 games by January and having the best record without a single all-star player.

I agree with him on these. Still, I think if he watched more Spurs games, he might pick Timmeh. I don’t know who he would throw out in favor of TD, though.

He doesn’t need to throw out any of the reserves he’s named if the commissioner picks Tim to replace Yao.

This doesn’t seem to include picking a replacement for Yao at center, but rather just the reserves the coaches choose. Seems to be leaving room for Tim to take Yao’s place.
