Jerry Sloan resigned today, and I'm kinda bummed, to be honest. This is a Loser Thread. We oughta call this thread "The Utah Jazz", or "The NBA", or dare I say, "the fans" -- because the Jazz, the NBA, and the fans, are the Losers on this one. I know we don't know the whole story, and I'm sure we'll get it in tidbits, as usual. Utah is a stand up organization. I hope he's sincere when he said his "time was up", and he is retiring on his own terms. If
Jerry Coach Sloan was forced out, shame on whoever was behind it. He has nothing to prove to anyone. I wish him all of the best. He's a coach that didn't take any crap from anyone, someone I personally have a lot of respect for. That's my rant, I'll shut up about it now.
There's basketball tonight? You better believe there is! We've got two nationally televised games on TNT tonight, and a third featuring two Western Conference opponents. First on TNT, the Lakers travel to Boston to take on the Celtics in what has to be considered a statement game for both. Boston took the first matchup in a
beautiful blowout win in LA a few weeks ago. Next the Warriors travel to Phoenix to play the Suns. And immediately following on TNT after the C's and Lakers, the Melo watch continues, as the Nuggets host Dirk and the Mavs. Given that our Spurs won last night, and both LA and Dallas are on the road tonight, we've got a chance to make some serious jump ahead in the standings. I'm awfully torn on this poll. Discuss.
