Lakers just became easier to match up with and, if one the injury prone (Bynum, Paul) goes down, they’re in trouble. This works for me.

In a normal year they’d win a bunch of regular season games before getting exposed in the playoffs due to lack of size (sound familiar) and lack of depth. That this season will have shortened training camp and too few off days, what’s the chance that an old Kobe and injury prone Bynum & Paul get through the clutter with 50 wins and healthy?

I also think that fans should be reminded that PJ is no longer the coach. You can’t help but miss a guy like that.

This is ultimately a recipe for disaster, IMO. CP3 is a whiny, needy, blame-everyone-else-when-things-don’t-go-my-way, “me-first” alpha male. Kobe is…well Kobe…a “win at all costs” super intense alpha male who is now also the de facto coach.

They will win some games because of sheer talent, but I am sure that their personalities will grate on eachother and take its toll on the team. They don’t have Phil to massage egos and manage personalities.
