After using the amnesty clause on Richard Jefferson, don't be surprised if the Spurs sign Shane Battier. There's mutual interest.

Alex Kennedy, who earlier today was the first to report the TJ Ford signing.

I’m going to twitter this… Hope you don’t mind.

First you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest... with... a herring!

Don’t give me posts like this to get my hopes up, Tim. Please let it be true. If we get Battier, barring health issues to our core, we contend in the West. For real, this time.

I was being sarcastic with the first line there. ;) I love the inside info.

Bucher says it’s the Heat. But I still have hope, until Battier himself says otherwise.

My guy said he would choose Miami, too. I’m cautiously optimistic now. Still… if we get Battier I will be shocked, and be a bigger fan.

Hearing that Shane Battier is bound for the Miami Heat. Not strong enough to write a news story but no league talk of him going elsewhere.

Shocker that Battier would go join Lebron in a quaint little town like Miami. Eff him, we dont need him.

No “TWHS” comment necessary.

Seriously though, Butler, Ford and now possibly Battier. The Spurs are going to be the oldest team in professional sports history. =00

If we end up with either Battier or Caron, I won’t complain. That would be a big win in my book. More likely we’ll have to settle for a lesser option like Howard.

I dunno, letting RJ go for an injury prone knucklhead like Howard doesnt make any sense.

The Spurs must have had something up their sleeve. Maybe Butler committed a while back and is merely going through the motions meeting with these other teams.

His personality fits here more than LaBronville.
