All-star thoughts

So Pop is going to coach the West All-Stars.  Well deserved, but my question pertains to the possible All-Stars playing for the Spurs.  Would it be all bad if the Spurs had no all-stars?  Don't get me wrong, I fully expect two or three of our guys to be there and they are most deserving, of course.  My point is, would the long weekend be better spent with our guys resting rather than taking part in the events in LA?

Here is our schedule through Feburary:

As you can see, the Spurs will just be finishing the RRT and becoming off of several BABA's.  Would it not be better for the team in the long run to just rest and relax over those 4 days off?  I know the Spurs won't get the much opined for respect and desired attention, but isn't winning better?  I would trade every Spur in the All-Star Game for a 5th ring.  I don't expect this to happen, I imagine the Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and possibly Tony Parker will all be attending the festivities in LA.  I just hope they don't play too much and get plenty of rest for the home stretch.
