Brilliant move by the player's association to hand in their CBA counter-proposal on the eve of Fourth-Tier Free-Agent Payday. Five months ago, David Stern scared everyone into thinking that the NBA was heading to financial ruin and teams would lose $400 million this season. Well, those same teams bleeding money just handed out $449 mil in thirty-six hours to guys NOT NAMED Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. A hearty congratulations to Channing Frye, Amir Johnson, Darko Milicic, Rudy Gay, Drew Gooden and good ol' Joe Johnson for seemingly undercutting David Stern's position that the league's financial future is in dire straits. Well done, gentlemen, well done.
