Reporter: Coach, you’re out here in Las Vegas for the Summer League, what is it that you’re looking for from your players here at these games in the Summer League?
Pop: Just improvement. Either the guys on our team or other teams, its a great opportunity for all of us to see them play, and you want to see people that might be able to make your basketball team.R: Let’s have some fun with coach Popovich now. Coach, favorite vacation spot?
P: New York City.
R: Anything in particular that attracts you there?
P: The restaurants are great, the plays are great, just walking the streets. It’s a great walking town.
R: Do you get a chance to hang with coach D’Antoni when you go up there?
P: No, he doesn’t want to see me.R: Favorite activity outside of basketball?
P: I think travel. Traveling around, there is a lot of places we get to go in Europe to watch players, and that kind of thing, is really a lot of fun.R: Something most fans don’t know about Coach Gregg Popovich?
P: I can’t say because if I say, then they’ll know.R: Favorite spot to eat in San Antonio?
P: It’ll probably get me in trouble, but, I really like Il Sogno, it’s an Italian restaurant.R: Any hidden talents for the coach?
P: I’m very untalented. My wife always wishes she could marry a man that could actually do something in the house, in the yard. Basketball doesn’t really improve the home or anything much.R: Favorite thing about being able to coach Tim Duncan?
P: Favorite thing is having somebody that respects basketball and practice as much as he does.R: Does the coach speak any other languages?
P: Several, very poorly.R: Finally coach, if we were to look at your iPod or your CD case, what kind of music would we find?
P: It’d be 60’s rock and roll.
R: Is that like Beatles—or is that too early?
P: Eh, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Cream, that sort of stuff.

I can’t say because if I say, then they’ll know.

"We suck on 'D. Both individually and team-wise, we suck. We're pretty consistent that way. I don't know if I have an answer to that. If I did, we wouldn't suck quite so bad." - Popovich

It’ll probably be short and something along the lines of “I’ve been very lucky. Lucky to coach Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Manu, Tony, etc. I guess that means that if you want to get into the Hall of Fame, you gotta be very lucky.”
