RU: Updated Workout Schedule, Spurs Look at Terrico White Today
In case you missed the previous workouts, they are listed as well. According to Tim Varner of 48MoH, Henry did not go to his work out with the Spurs.
Terrico White is a PG/SG currently projected as the 35th pick. He shot okay from 3 last year. He shot far better from 2 though. His stats remind me of Curtis Jerrells, a guy who scores good points because he wants the ball in his hands. He has 2.5" on George Hill but the same wingspan of 6'9".

Not excited
I went to DE and compared him to other guards in the draft. He’s below average in assists, 2 pt%, 3pt%, ft%, and FTA. He’s a decent rebounder. I’d pass.
San Antonio Spurs
May 12th – Ryan Thompson
May 13th – Paul George, Xavier Henry
May 14th – Jeremy Wise, Dominique Jones
June 4th – Terrico White
Of all of those guys, I’d most like to have George. Of course I know very little about all of them, so take that for what it’s worth…which of course is nothing.
I agree with you. Of course, George has to be one of the players projected higher (lower?) than our 20th pick, though.

Higher. He is projected 15th.I think our biggest rival of getting him is Chicago. And with the guys that worked out for us.Paul has just improved his stocks. And from 23 he went to 20 and from 20 he went to 15.So I guess that obviously his one of the best in the draft combine.
For Sale:Anyone interested with Spurs SF Richard Jefferson? Then just pick up your phone and dial 781-452-0659.Oh,wait its the rejection hot line.(Just joking,we're stuck with him, let's deal with it that we got no other SF and I guess he is much better than what he is showing us.)
Most teams don’t seem nearly as selective about who they include in their workouts as the Spurs are. I wonder why we haven’t been trying out as many. It could be to show that we have more interest in a given player, but I’d rather see us choose some different people than those we’ve gone with so far. Well, we still have plenty of time.

Well, you have to remember that the Spurs scouting staff goes to other workouts. Some teams hold regional workouts where they invite many people.
"We'll see how our character is," guard Tony Parker said. "We don't have time to be sad. Nobody cares. It's just us. We're the only ones who can help each other."

I wonder if we are more likely to work out players we aren’t sure of. Older or more successful players we may not feel like we have to look into as much with all the available college tape. Maybe these are guys who we aren’t sure of but something about them intrigues us .
Paul George is a good example of this (for every team). Not as productive as you’d like in college, but his skills and athleticism warrant further investigation. In his case of course everyone is doing this.
I dunno, just a guess.
I considered that as well a while after I posted earlier. It definitely makes sense. That could be a reason for a few players, but then they could have a lot of interest in other guys. There’s so much to speculate, really.

Problem with Spurs choices
The Spurs haven’t taken a look at any players who fill their biggest need. A center or power forward/center big. Over the past two seasons I have watched the Spurs get beaten all too often by the better teams who have strong/long front lines. Duncan, who has less hops now and so does McDyess. Blair is a scrappy rebounder but he comes up short against teams who have extra length like the Lakers, Mavs, etc.,etc. If we’re counting on Splitter I think that is wishful thinking. The Spurs need a dominent defender at the rim and a Blair type who is about four or five inches taller. Admitted we also need a better 3 point shooter, but the need for a big is much more obvious.
I agree
We really do need front court help and i know the front office knows this also. If we as fans can see that than i am sure they can also. Maybe them not looking at any bigs individually is a good sign Splitter might come over. I think the Spurs have some kind of contingency plan if Splitter doesn’t show up though. You have to remember that the Spurs have had scouts at a lot of the big guys open sessions
One thing i can do...................is FINGER ROLL.

Considering how Spurs seem to play under the radar as much as possible, there is a decent chance they’ll take someone you didn’t hear they were looking at.
For instance when the drafted Hill, they apparently had him in for two workouts that were not widely known about.
While complacency costs, perseverance pays
