Proud to be a Spur
My guess is, with the 19th pick of the second round of the 2010 NBA draft, the spurs will pick … me.
I’m pretty long for a non-NBA player, and I have lots of intangibles. Trust me. Oh, the intangibles I have.
And I can’t shoot FTs.

6-foot-10, 225 pounds, bench press: four, vertical leap 28.5…so the Spurs drafted a guy who might be athletically inferior to Matt Bonner.
Asked before the game how Parker has looked, Popovich said, "He’s still cute. "
28.5
That’s not that bad for a guy with a 110" reach is it? I mean, you’re talking about almost twelve feet of shot blocking potential, that seems like a lot more than Bonner offers.

F Boston!
Just had to be said. That is all – for now.
Hey if repeating as champions were that easy even the Spurs could do it.
Perhaps. I did have a couple of glasses of wine last night as the celebration continues repeats. I know it is bad karma but the best part for me has been reading about all the hand wringing in beantown.
When the Lakers beat them it was like they dropped a grenade in that outhouse they call the TD Garden. Man the crap started flying.
Hey if repeating as champions were that easy even the Spurs could do it.
Right..........................
Your boys still have a harder road to the finals than what Boston will have next year even if Doc retires and Ray Allen is gone. Enjoy your wine because this will be the last time you celebrate your guys winning a championship for a while. Kobe and Fisher aren’t getting any younger, Bynum can’t stay healthy, Odom is to busy trying to figure out a way to get rid of Frankenberry without giving her that settlement money, Pau is still softer than a melted marshmallow, Phil Jackson is about to go back to Montana and smoke peyote, your bench sucks and all your teams money is tied up in three players not to mention that any team that has to rely on a head case like Ron Artest to pull out a finals game seven win is in some deep trouble. Boston actually has a few decent young players and a little money to spend, not to mention Paul Pierce might take a pay cut to help them acquire more help. I will admit this your Lakers won the championship but the team is flawed something serious

Fuck, of all teams the Lakers had to pick him? I wonder how he’ll do with the triangle offense, he was not the best passer out of double teams, but the dude has a great low post game, has great hands, good rebounder and takes up a lot of space. He also has a nice touch from 19-20ft out.

Spurs did it again.
Picking Anderson at 20 was a no-brainer. He’s ready to play on the best bench in the NBA right now. He’s a far better shooter than Jefferson, Mason, Bogans, Hill, Hairston, McDyess, Bonner, Blair and maybe even Parker. If he improves his defensive skills over the summer he could step in for injuries to Ginobli, Jefferson, and Hill. He is instant offense. Ryan Richards is a big with far more skills than Alabi or Whiteside. He handles the ball like a 3 and can shoot from the perimeter. Needs to work a little on his post up game, but overall he has far more skills than the other bigs that were available. I can’t imagine Alabi or Whiteside taking it full court with behind the back dribbles like RR can. He can defend at the post, with a pretty big body and won’t get pushed around like Alabi. The best part is that he is only 19 and seems willing to come over and learn the game with the big boys. One year of playing Toros ball and he will be able to play alongside Splitter allowing Duncan to rest his knees on the bench and pick his minutes. RC and Pop have done it again. The Spurs scouts have certainly shown that they can get the most out of the lower draft picks. Great job guys.
He’s ready to play on the best bench in the NBA right now.
