Even Walt thinks Tim looked old last night
I've never seen Duncan have a worse offensive night when he scored 20. He looked positively awful, and I wonder how much he's hurting. Yes, he had his knee hyper’d, but he was moving like a arthritic giraffe BEFORE that play. He had that ONE baseline spin, where he got separation, but was slow off his feet and was clobbered before he could get his shot off. That's NOT the Timmy we know, love and rely on.
PHX has decided that they'll just punish him every time he has position, and deal with him at the line, because after a regular season where his FT% has been as good as it's been since his 2nd year in the league, as soon as he has to take a freebie in the playoffs, he suddenly morphs into Shaquille O'Neal
We had a great run to pull even, and then went through a stretch in the 4th where a) all of our open jumpers wouldn't drop and b) Duncan refused to take a shot even when he was inside 7 feet and on a smaller defender. I'll say this much, if Tim can't rebound from this because of a physical issue (like b/c of JJ Barea's knock on his knee in G6) then I don't like our chances in this series.
I hope he’s ok.
