Time for a little history lesson on the playoff performances of the team from South Texas.

::ahem::

     --Series result:  Spurs win 4-2

2003, round 3, game 1 vs. Dallas Mavericks:  L

     -Series result:  Spurs win 4-2

2005, round 1, game 1 vs. Denver Nuggets:  L

     --Series result:  Spurs win 4-1

2007, round 1, game 1 vs. Denver Nuggets:  L

     --Series result:  Spurs win 4-1

2008, round 2, game1 vs. NOOCH:  L

     --Series result:  Spurs win 4-3

2010, round 1, game 1 vs. Dallas Mavericks:  L

     --Series result:  Spurs win 4-2

Let the record show that during this stretch the only series' the Silver and Black have lost after dropping game 1 were the Dallas debacle last year, and the lakers in 2008.  The San Antonio Spurs under Greg Popovich have gone on to win a remarkable 6 of 8 series in the last 8 years after failing to draw first blood, and in several instances, losing home court advantage.

The Spurs and the Suns will be quick to tell you that history doesn't matter in this series, except when it comes to Popovich's squads, it always does.

See you on Wednesday!

Class dismissed.
