RU: Spurs Hosting Jeremy Wise and Dominique Jones
Ridiculous Upside continues to keep us in the loop. Combo guards projected as second rounders.....sounds right.

Well Spurs have Gee/Hairston/Gist as youngins who could fill in forward positions. So they do have some options. Spurs have definitely done well picking up the combo guards in Hill and Temple. The Spurs need a shooter (who can do a little more than just shoot) though and you’ll probably get the best ones from the combo guards generally speaking.
I said “true” SF, not someone who can “fill in”. Of course with RJ eating 38 minutes a fill-in is OK. But I don’t expect RJ to be around much longer.
Bowen wasn’t a true SF. But we had taller guards back then.

I didn’t see this one on PTR, but the Spurs also work out Ryan Thompson on Wednesday of last week according to RU’s full listing of workouts.
College senior with a decent scoring ability and really high BBIQ. He has good size, but according to DE, isn’t ready to play NBA calibur defenders. He sounds like a really good Toro/D League prospect to me.
