Blocking Durant and Garnett in the same season. And that they were both wins too…. Priceless!!

Although I do think Manu should have gotten up and started pounding his chest with a serial killer look on his face like Garnett always does. That would have been awesome.

by GMac14 on Mar 28, 2010 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

wouldve been great.

Sorry, but I am afraid that Gino is too classy for that. He just walks out like it wasn’t a big deal at all. Killer.

Yeah, come on, Gino has no swagger. He’d never make it as a Celtic, thank Jeebus. Findog is only coming through because he’s a zombie. Imagine Fin’s influence as a vet for the Zombie Sonics!

I am just nervous about the back where Manu was wincing at the end of the game. I hope that doesn’t linger.

by LionZion on Mar 28, 2010 10:11 PM CDT reply actions

It might be a problem tomorrow, but we shouldn’t need him for long against the, ahem, Nets. It certainly isn’t serious judging by how he looked when we was off to the locker room.

Wow, congrats Spur Lovers! Beating the Cavs and then the Celts on the road. You guys aren’t planning to bring this version of the Spurs to L A I hope. Just looked at Celticsblog’s recap of the game. The first comment was priceless:

i always kinda wished TImmy would knock him on his ass once or twice over the years. KG would always act like a punk when playing us.

A punk with vacation plans after the first round. TD knocked him down the right way: never allowing more than one win from KG’s squad in a series.

Ok, I have a confession to make. I love defense (yeah, that’s why I’m a Spurs fan), specially defensive dominating bigs. Two of my favorite at the time was TD and KG when he was wallowing in futility in Minny. My fervent hope then, when the Admiral retired, was for a frustrated KG to chase rings with TD at San Antonio. Imagine how that would have turned out. Mind you, I don’t care much for KG’s outburst (that’s why I love Timmeh) but there’s no denying the intensity that KG brings every night.

Not trying to hate on this block by Manu

Because I really don’t like KG’s antics, but George Hill fouled KG. Watch again, but don’t watch Manu, watch Hill.

You’re being generous calling that a foul.

He positively mugged KG there. It’s inconceivable that the league didn’t take action to fine him after that utter disregard for another player’s safety.

I see what you did there

You exaggerated my claims to make me look like a fool. Well, I don’t need your help to make me look like a fool, I’m doing just fine on my own, thank you!

Still, it was a foul on Hill. And I despise KG.

I’ve watched that clip close to thirty times, at least a quarter of those were to examine your claim.

I agree that Hill definitely placed his hand on KG’s hip, but if you’re going to call that a foul, then I just don’t know how to refer to this.

And I’ll do my best in the future to give you enough space to make yourself look like a fool all on your own.

Also, my friends at work were laughing uncontrollably over this last week. Thought you’d enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by.

All my friends at work were laughing uncontrollably too, in fact, it's so uncontrollable they're still laughing

Because I paused the screen at 0:32 for them, and they saw how funny the foul was (not on the hip, on the arm) because KG is so annoying, and because Manu’s portion was clean.

Look, you seem like a fair guy. I’m just trying to be fair here, because if it was Kobe or Manu or whoever that got “blocked” I would say the same thing. Foul’s a foul.

I really have seen this clip dozens of times, so it’s utterly amazing to me that I missed Hill’s right hand blatantly riding KG’s forearm every time I watched it as a result of being so focused on whether Manu’s block was clean or not.

I haven’t felt this unobservant since I first saw the awareness test.

I’m just waiting for the sarcasm warning sign to pop up …

No need to wait for the other shoe to drop as it’s currently in my mouth due to me shoving my foot there multiple times.

There will be no sarcasm warning necessary. I admit it. Hill hit his arm like Caruso hits those one-liners.

Oh and Fisher absolutely fouled Barry

Barry should have gotten only two free throws, the foul was on the ground and he took a dribble after the foul and before the shot, but in any case he was robbed.

And as a Laker fan, if you could pause time and ask me if I would take a foul at the time Fisher made contact and not knowing the outcome of Barry’s shot, I would say give me the foul because the worst that could happen would be a tie instead of Barry possibly making a three for the win.

So the refs messed up.

I like the way you waited for me to admit Hill’s foul before addressing the final play of SA’s 2008 season.

But still, you’re ok in my book.

I have no actual book.

Actually I didn’t see the reference to Fisher-Barry at first , because I was furious that your coworkers were laughing uncontrollably at me. I didn’t see there was a hyperlink until I had calmed down and looked at it later, so the timing was not correlated, but I can’t prove that can I?

On an unrelated note, I need Manu to play so he can contribute to my fantasy team, which is in the midst of the playoffs.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Manu when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
