2nd Half Thread: Battle of the Gingers
Okay, not really. Boston's Bonner hasn't even entered the game. Manu is continuing his tear since the All-Star break, with that monster block on the motormouth. Now some of the other Spurs need to step up.

We’re 43-28 and playing against BOS
OKC is now 44-28, so we’ll be up one place against them if we win.
POR is now 45-29

From CelticsBlog. Thought you guys might like this:
I think this is the real Celtics, guys.
When the C’s can’t hit their 3’s, they aren’t close to being a great team. They can’t reliably get inside shots and they’re a very poor rebounding team. They lack an interior scoring presence and their outside shooters go through stretches where they can’t get decent shots. The C’s have to hope for hot shooting to have big games against good teams.

I’m pretty sure they changed it after the 2006 season. The division winners are only guaranteed home court advantage in the first round. So if your top 2 teams in the conference are in the same division then they don’t have to match up in the second round, but in the conference finals.

ATL would have the home court advantage though if they met. The bracket positioning might be more important though.

I think this makes us the best team in the NBA. One thing can definitely be said; the team that we face in the first round will not be happy to see us.

Here is a crazy thought: when he is healthy Parker should come off the bench!!! Manu is clicking right now with the starting unit…..Parker should do wonders with Mason and Bonner getting those 3 point passses
"Rock and Roll angels bring that HardRock Hallelujah"
problem is i think parker plays well with td.

Amazing game Spurs, that was a horrible game by the C’s, we really stunk it up, and you played the game perfectly.
Well done, and good luck out there :)

Q: You and Manu carried the game tonight. What is it about the way you guys play together that seems to be working so well?
A: I’ve said it many times, the way he gets deflections, the way he’s so active, always moving, you know, that’s kind of what I’m used to. A lot of ball movement—he drives and kicks it; he has great timing on his pass. He’;s one of the be—I knew he was great, but you don’t fully understand how amazing he is day in and day out until you really play with him, but— . . . You know, he’s one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen.

As was commented in the preview thread:
Bonner must dominate Scalabrine for us to win.Check.
Without Perk, they should have no advantage on the boards.Check.
Of course, we have Manu, and they don’t.Check, Check.
Looks like a winnable game to me,Check.
but probably will be a dogfight, with single digit differences all the way..Not quite. RJ emergence was too much for Boston to handle. And Bonner dominated not only Scalabrine, but also Garnett.
Next season doesn't exist. Only today exists. So say we all.
Anybody up for a recap? I was in my usual boxscore watching self.

Hey Davis, the game was on RPN9. I was at work so I’d like to watch the replay. Any idea what time the replay airs? RPN9’s NBA schedule is confusing.
I think they show it really early, like 4 or 5pm. I never get home that early so I always miss it. If it’s not on by then, either they air it really late or not at all.
