Manu´s Interview with local Radio LU2 in Bahía Blanca
Today´s morning Manu had an interview with one of ours local AM Radios. Some bullets of what he said :
- "As Turkeys Worldchampionship gets closer, I´m gettin´ hungry about to play for Argentina.... "
- "I´m not gonna retire any time soon. I wanna keep playing for many years"
- "I wanna be in the London Olympics (2012) because an Olympic game is the most important thing for a real athlete"
- "I think that everybody on the team had not played well in the season and It´s everybody´s fault, nobody in particular just all of us".
- "Duncan still is an exemplary silent leader in the team that is a pleasure to have him in your team"
- Early in the season we changed from a FIBA kind of team to an NBA type of team. Now we´re going back to our older FIBA style: trying to do more team play, pass the ball, and make better decisions on court.
- About a question if Popovich is telling him to take care with the rim´s attacks, dosifying his energy and be careful with the bumps he could receive heading to the playoffs, Manu responds: "At this point we gotta win whatever it takes, there is no margin to be careful of nothing.... we gotta put all the roastbeef on the barbecue" ....(this is an Argentian phrase that means put absolutely all your effort, muscles, will and heart to win) Original Phrase is "Poner toda la carne al asador"
- "...we can even be out of the playoffs, so is not the moment of dosifying anything"
He doesn´t count Parker for the rest of the season including playoffs (acording for what he said)
The mp3 file of this is about 10,5 mb. Is on our local newspaper under the title:
| "Manu" Ginóbili y el Mundial de Turquía: "A medida que se acerca tengo más ganas de jugar" |

This is a really good interview. CarBahia did a good job of summarizing the most important parts but If you guys are interested I could try to translate it.
I would rather watch Manu Ginobili go scoreless than 98 percent of the league get career highs
Good job, CarBahia. Thanks for the translation.

I like this and I do hope the season can still be saved.
