48 MoH: Spurs interested in Bulls Thomas
I would do this deal in a heartbeat if we got Salmons thrown in.

Here’s something by PtR’s favorite NBA blogger:

He may not get it for good, in true Jason Williams-style, but he can do a team, a bench, a frontcourt rotation, good. He could work for the Spurs. He could work for a quite a few teams. Freed from the “figure it out on your own, kid”-clutches of the Chicago Bulls, for the rest of this year at least, it’s an almost certainty.
Don't compare RJ to Sean unless he's coming up clutch while playing with a failing kidney.
Update
Everyone understood Chicago executives are now determined to move Thomas, and a clear price has been established for suitors: Expiring contracts and a 2010 or future first-round draft pick, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Bulls are also exploring ways to package Thomas with guard Kirk Hinrich(notes) to free themselves of his contract.
"We suck on 'D. Both individually and team-wise, we suck. We're pretty consistent that way. I don't know if I have an answer to that. If I did, we wouldn't suck quite so bad." - Popovich

I’d take Captain Kirk, as long as we don’t have to give up too much.

Kirk’s contract really is too big—9.5mil. For us to get both of them, we’d have to give away people we want to keep, e.g. Tony, Manu, Dice, in order to make the trade work money-wise.

=D
I’d much rather like Salmons, and Bulls get expiring contracts like they want: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yfylsbc
