Yeah, Nike’s evil marketing genius..they know most people will have this strong reaction (or the other extreme, see a few comments above from Laker dude), and thus get people talking about it. Which is the point. Like PETA, any publicity is good publicity philosophy.

Which I also totally disagree with.

Notice how RJ looks for that last second, like he has absolutely no idea that there’s even a second left to run and shoot a final shot when he gets passed the ball.

He’s always 5 seconds behind everything, instead of a second ahead like he should be as a Spur.

Can we call it a good thing that we got the RQC out of the way here in the 2nd and we’re only down 3?

by M3D1T8R on Feb 8, 2010 10:53 PM CST reply actions

I guess we can! this means we have a great chance now…

by Bakkie009 on Feb 8, 2010 10:53 PM CST up reply actions

indeed it does. this is a must win for us given that kobe and bynum are out i think.

I really wish Manu would grow his hair once more. I liked the 2004-05 look.

I’m certain he can afford some hair treatment for the bald spot

What bald Spot?

are you sure that the +5 is not an error?

by SCOOTERFL3 on Feb 8, 2010 10:54 PM CST up reply actions

nothing from the bench not counting manu and blair. in order to beat these guys, someone else will have to step up.

by bones on Feb 8, 2010 10:54 PM CST reply actions

This is why the Lakers are paying a 4.3 billion dollar salary

by KBZ on Feb 8, 2010 10:54 PM CST reply actions

I’m surprised we r down just by 3.

by Heman on Feb 8, 2010 10:54 PM CST via mobile reply actions

this is bad when we are playing them without kobe and bynum

by SCOOTERFL3 on Feb 8, 2010 10:55 PM CST up reply actions

lamar would shrink If Kobe was playing and the game would probably be the same

by KBZ on Feb 8, 2010 10:56 PM CST up reply actions

meh, i’m not sure about that

by SCOOTERFL3 on Feb 8, 2010 10:57 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah. The whole key is Gasol and Fish. Limit Gasol and drive Fish of 3pt line and then its good game if we shoot decent.

by LionZion on Feb 8, 2010 10:57 PM CST up reply actions

You’re right. LO rebounds better when Bynum is not there but he’d be less aggressive and take fewer shots if Kobe were playing.

You gotta bring ass to get ass.

by SpurredOn on Feb 8, 2010 10:58 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah the Lakers missed a lot of shots for a stretch there. We’re lucky in that sense.

If RJ would just make a shot, literally, we wouldn’t be down.

by M3D1T8R on Feb 8, 2010 10:55 PM CST up reply actions

Missed dunk, FT, wide open J and wide open 3. Just a 40% shooting night from him and we’d be in the lead.

You gotta bring ass to get ass.

by SpurredOn on Feb 8, 2010 10:56 PM CST up reply actions

Yep. It looks a lot worse watching the game, especially with poor RJ and his total lack of confidence. The rest of the team pretty much ignores him and plays around him right now. Not sure if we can fix that.

by swgeek on Feb 8, 2010 10:56 PM CST up reply actions

I have completely turned on RJ. Put in Finley since he at least hits open 3s and won’t be any worse in transition defense.

You gotta bring ass to get ass.

You put more effort into this than RJ puts into anything when he isn’t scoring.

Don't compare RJ to Sean unless he's coming up clutch while playing with a failing kidney.

Well folks I really had fun hanging out with you but I have to go.

I’ll keep on reading your blog and hopefully I will see a topic on which I will be able to comment.

May the best team (Lakers) win. Bye and best of luck for the rest of the season.

See yah. Hope the Lakers lose.

lotta highs and lows with this team. maybe if they can lockdown kobe and keep bynum off the boards they’ll pull it out in the second half.
