Barkley likes the Spurs and usually sticks up for them. It’s Kenny, Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller and most of the others who are the Laker homers.

There is no reason we can’t play better defense. Our help rotations are non-existant. We either have 3 people running at the guy with the ball or nobody. Sometimes, it truely looks like the people have never played together before.
There is no way we can play worse defense. At least, I hope not. But really, I don’t think it is possible to play worse defense than we did that half.
I would have picked out our lack of on the ball pressure as the problem. They are passing the ball wherever they want.

Rubio’s play was remarkable for his age, but he missed a lot of open shots that Calderon wouldn’t have. Calderon, at that point, was the much better shooter and passer. I’m a Rubio fan though, hope he joins the league soon.

500 +. we’ve done our part. Now the Spurs should do theirs.

The Spurs national TV record is just abysmal. I can’t remember the last time they won in front of a national audience.

I hate SEGABABA’s. Let’s get the day of reast, and take out the Clips.
I’m gonna try not to dwell on this loss.
I think our defense was terrible. We gave them 25 points on 19 possessions before the intentional fouls. We let them score on 9 of 10 possessions in the middle of the quarter and many were in the paint.
We specialize in misinformation around here. Facts and stats just get in the way.

everyone recently makes a lot of difficult shots against us. those NBA teams can really play, dammit!
earlier in the season, everyone was making easy shots against us, I think we’re slowly improving.
GTFOML!

It’s not age or fatigue. They have one awful quarter per game. Sometimes it’s the 3rd. Occasionally the 1st. Tonight it was the 4th. Execution has been a problem all season.
You gotta bring ass to get ass.
See you on All-Star Saturday folks. I’m out to not celebrate.

You can look at it one of two ways, really.
A) We wouldn’t have even had a shot at keeping the game close for as long as we did earlier in the season.
B) Obligatory PtR “We Suck”
"We'll see how our character is," guard Tony Parker said. "We don't have time to be sad. Nobody cares. It's just us. We're the only ones who can help each other."

So really, we’re sucking slightly less. By the time the playoffs come around, we’ll just suck normally.

Everyone saying earlier any losses on the RRT would mean failure.. or anything worse than 6-2… I gotta admit I was thinking, “Have you seen how we’re playing this year? We’ll be lucky to come out of the trip 4-4.”
Well I didn’t say it then cos I didn’t want to be negative.
Then I watched the game and started to believe.
Around the 3rd and even into the 4th I actually FELT the win coming. It was amazing. We were going to go 2-0 to start the trip w/ the back to back. Rest and head to LA… Maybe we are turning this around, we’re really playing with effort.
And then through some anti-miracle, we managed to pull off a loss. Again. Game. After game. After game.
I’m going to have to stop liking the Spurs. It’s too hard on me.
k see ya later

Had that final Manu 3 play been for a Manu drive, fine. But why Pop went to Manu for would-be game winner is beyond me. His shooting has been off ALL SEASON. It’s not just some bad nights. The clearest indication of this is even his free throw shooting has been off. Remember when he made 40 in a row or whatever it was during the playoffs a while back??
Is Pop that stubborn that he refuses to take in this when he sees it and react and make some needed subtle changes, like oh say go to Parker or Hill for that corner 3? Or does he not even see it.. I don’t even know any more.
