Should the Spurs trade for a big? If so Who?
Recently there have been talks about the spurs trading for amare and tyrus thomas. I don't ever see the trade for amare going down since we need a shot blocking, defensive playing big and amare isn't really either. Tyrus Thomas is one realistic trade being made since Chicago seems to want to trade him and he has size and shot blocking ability. But with Tiago Splitter coming over being a possibility the question arises. Do we need to trade for a big? Here's a list of proposed big men who I think we should trade for.
1. Tyrus Thomas
Basically he comes fairly cheap and hes young, athletic, and has shot-blocking ability. Spurs first choice most likely the most realistic trade scenario.
2. Omeka Okafor
Basically a nother shot-blocking big but he comes at a higher price.
3. Another big man i have been intruged by is Andrew Bogut. He comes at a high price to and the downside is he has a long-term contract but hes another young big with shot blocking ability who can rebound and score. Another problem is will the Bucks part with him? Most likely no but its worth a shot maybe they feel sorry for us since RJ hasn't been working out for us.
